Easy Pralines

We pronounce this like “Praw-leens”. We’ve recently found out that our youngest grandson is allergic to dairy and nuts along with abunch of other food stuffs. I made this recipe today with coconut milk and Rice Krispies and vegan butter. It has a bit of coconuty taste but the texture is the same. #ChristmasGifts

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mix all but pecans in boiler. Stir well over low heat until blended. Increase heat till boiling. Boil “gently” until temperature reaches 235* or soft ball stage.

* Step 2

Remove from heat and beat with hand mixer until thick; stir in pecans.

* Step 3

Drop by spoon onto ungreased waxed paper. Let cool and set. As candy sets and hardens it should lose its shine and become dull.
