Red dates are an inseparable ingredient in Chinese cuisines. They are consumed regularly in soups,cakes and teas by expectant mothers.Rich in Vitamin C, red dates can transfer the excess cholesterol in the body into bile acids, thus reducing the probability of gallstone formation. Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Strain the soaked red dates and keep aside

* Step 2

Crush the ginger in a mortar after scraping its skin

* Step 3

Take about 500 ml of water in a saucepan and bring it boil after adding the ginger and dates to it

* Step 4

Once boiled, allow to simmer for 2 minutes on Low flame

* Step 5

Strain the tea prepared and add a tsn of honey and mix

* Step 6

Have while warm

* Step 7

Tip: Add the juice of half a lemon if needed in addition to honey
