Burgers with a surprisingly cheesey filling
I rarely cook meat at home and when I do I only use organic meat. No local suppliers so I tend to buy online in bulk and freeze. Yesterday I defroze some minced beef amd made these burgers which have been a family favourite for years
Ingredient
Food ration :
3 servings
Cooking time :
30 mins
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Put all the ingredients except the oil in a bowl
* Step 3
Use your hends to make a ball shape and make a dent in the middle with your thumb
* Step 4
Put a rectangle of cheese in the dent
* Step 5
And using your hands again close the ball and then gently press into burger-like shapes
* Step 6
Lightly grease the pan with a little olive oil and cook over a moderate heat. Turn once and cook the other side too
* Step 7
Serve with a simple tomato, onion and basil salad seasoned with virgin olive oil and a generous pinch of maldon salt and freshly ground blaxk pepper.
* Step 8
When you cut the burger the cheese will ooze out of the middle. We were so hungry yesterday that I forgot to take a pic but here ia one I took when I made them a while ago so you can get an idea of the ooze 😊. Enjoy!!!
