Mildly spiced fritters made from Moong Dal is one of the popular tasty street food from Mumbai

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Clean and soak dal for 4-5 hours or overnight
* Step 2
Coarsely crush peppercorns and coriander seeds and keep it aside
* Step 3
Grind Dal with very little water and salt to form smooth paste.
* Step 4
Add green chillies, ginger and hing and grind again to smooth paste
* Step 5
Transfer batter to bowl. Add coarsely ground spices to batter and mix batter well
* Step 6
Drop spoonful of batter in hot oil and deep fry over medium heat until crisp and golden
* Step 7
Drain excess oil over tissue paper
* Step 8
Serve hot with sauce and green or tamarind chutney
