Lauki Barfi

#diwali Delicious barfi made from lauki/Bottle gourd

Ingredient

Food ration :

4 servings

3.5 cups

full fat milk

1 teaspoon

Cardamom powder

1.5 cups

Khoya grated

For greasing

Ghee

1/2 cup

Sugar

3 tbsp

nuts

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Bring milk to boil in a pan, stirring occasionally

* Step 2

Add lauki and mix well

* Step 3

Cook until mix starts thickening

* Step 4

Add sugar and mix well.

* Step 5

Add khoya and mix well. cook for 3-4 minutes

* Step 6

Optionally add food colouring and mix well

* Step 7

Add 3 tbsp nuts and cardamom. mix well. cook until mixture thickens completely

* Step 8

Pour the mixture in prepared greased dish. level evenly

* Step 9

Garnish with nuts. refrigerate until set

* Step 10

Slice the barfi into desired shape. store in airtight container and refrigerate upto 2 days. Serve cold
