#Global Middle Eastern dessert, Luqaimat is sweet crunchy dumplings

Ingredient

1 cup

maida

1 tbsp

corn starch

1/2 teaspoon

active yeast

1 teaspoon

oil

1.5 teaspoon

sugar

strands

Few saffron

3/4 cups

water

1/2 teaspoon

cardamom

4 tbsp

date syrup

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mix flour, sugar, yeast, saffron, cardamom, 1 TSP oil with water to form a smooth batter

* Step 2

Cover and keep it aside for 1 hour

* Step 3

Heat oil for frying. Using a spoon, pour spoonful of batter in hot oil. Fry until golden brown on medium heat

* Step 4

Allow excess oil to be absorbed by Kitchen towel. Any leftovers batter should be discarded

* Step 5

Coat the dumplings with date syrup. Sprinkle sesame seeds

* Step 6

Serve warm, dumplings should be consumed on same day
