Sheer Khurma

#RC Delicious Sheer khurma is made during Eid/Ramzan. This kheer is made from Vermicelli, nuts and dates. Enjoy this delicious kheer post biryani for lunch or dinner

Ingredient

Food ration :

6 servings

Cooking time :

15 minutes
1 litre

milk

strands

Few saffron

1/2 teaspoon

cardamom

3 tbsp

ghee

10-12

raisins

2 tbsp

chironji

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soak saffron in 5 tbsp milk

* Step 2

Melt ghee in heavy bottom pan. add cashews, chironji, almonds, raisins and pistachios. Fry until golden brown

* Step 3

Add vermicelli to this mixture and fry until slightly browned

* Step 4

Add remaining milk and dates. Cook until vermicelli is soft and done

* Step 5

Add sugar, cardamom and saffron milk. Cook for a minute

* Step 6

Transfer to serving bowl. Garnish with slivered almonds and pistachios. Serve warm
