Pork and Sauerkraut for New Years

This is a dish my sister usually makes but due to the pandemic this year I made my own. Actually it turned out terrific I looked at about six different recipes and of course created my own. Here you go it was delicious

Ingredient

Food ration :

6 servings

Cooking time :

7-8 hours slow cooker
3-4 pound

pork shoulder

20-32 oz

sauerkraut

6 cloves

whole garlic

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Brown pork in nonstick skillet

* Step 2

Drain and pour sauerkraut kraut in crockpot, add roast, add sliced apples and garlic, salt and pepper, and liquid broth or juice.

* Step 3

Cook on high for 3-4 hours ten switch to low for 3-4 hours. Shred the pork or slice as you prefer.

* Step 4

Serve with mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce... complement per your preference. I make Mountain Dew apple dumplings for dessert! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
