Indonesian Corn Fritter

Hi everyone, let’s try corn fritter from Manado, Indonesia. This corn fritter has a crunchy texture and sweet savoury taste. Curious about flavour? Try the recipe right away 😉

250 gr

sweetcorn

7 tbsp

rice flour

3 tbsp

wheat flour

1 tsp

salt

2 tsp

sugar

1 pcs

egg

200-250 ml

water

4 cloves

garlic

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. Mix corn, kefir leaf, and spring onion. Blend shallot and garlic with 100ml water. Mix dry ingredients; rice flour, wheat flour, coriander, salt, and sugar.

Add the dry ingredient mixture to the corn mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are coated with flour. Add egg and mix well.

Pour the blended shallot and garlic inti the corn mixture, mix well.

Heat the oil for frying. Once it hot, fry 1 tbsp of the corn mixture and spread it out as shown. Fry until golden brown and cooked. Remove and drain the oil. Repeat until all are done.
