#Rc #Uttarakhand #Post8 Cham-chura or sweet rice is a very simple and delicious sweet dish of Uttarakhand generally served during winter season.Ghee and jaggery produce heat to the body and hence enjoyed this sweet during winter.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat a pan. Add ghee and fry the dry fruits and coconut. Drain and keep aside in a bowl.

* Step 2

Now in the same pan add the soaked rice and fry till rice changes to opaque colour.

* Step 3

In the same time in another pan add 2 cups of water and jaggery (gud) and let it boil so that jaggery melts completely.

* Step 4

Add this water mixture to the fried rice.

* Step 5

Give it a nice mix.

* Step 6

Add fried dry fruits, coconut, cardamom & saunf powder.

* Step 7

When rice starts to boil stir, cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes until rice cooks completely.

* Step 8

Very flavorful cham-chura is ready to serve.
