Ingredient

Food ration :

1 jar

Cooking time :

45-50 minutes
1/4 Cup

oil

1/4 Cup

water

2 tbsp

vinegar

2 tbsp

soy sauce

1 tbsp

sugar

as per taste

Salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Firstly, soak dried red chili in hot water for 30 minutes or till they turn soft

* Step 2

Discard the water and blend to smooth paste adding water if required. Keep aside

* Step 3

Now in a large kadai heat 1/4 Cup oil

* Step 4

Saute in 1/4 Cup garlic and 2 tbsp ginger for a minutes for 2

* Step 5

Furthermore, add in prepared red chili paste.

* Step 6

Saute for 2 minutes, so that chili gets cooled well.

* Step 7

Now add 1/4 cup water and adjust consistency.

* Step 8

Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

* Step 9

Make sure to cook the sauce till the oil floats on top.

* Step 10

Furthermore add in 1/2 tsp pepper,2 tbsp vinegar, 2 tbsp soy sauce,2 tbsp tomato sauce,1 tbsp sugar, and salt to taste.

* Step 11

Mix well making sure everything is combined well.

Finally, serve Schezwan chutney as a dip with chips or fries.

Finally, store Schezwan chutney in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use it for more than a month.
