Ingredient

Food ration :

3-4 people

Cooking time :

20-25 minutes
1 tsp

Oil

as per taste

Salt

1 tsp

ghee

1 tsp

Urad dal

1 tsp

Chana dal

1/2 tsp

Cumin seeds

as needed

Pounded garlic

as required

Few curry leaves

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Add water,toor dal, turmeric powder, oil, palak,green chilies, onions, tomatoes, chilli powder, tamarind (soaked), in a cooker and mix well

* Step 2

Pressure cook in medium High flame(cook about 5 whistle)

* Step 3

Now add salt and mix to the cooked Dal palak base

* Step 4

In a wide pan, heat ghee and oil

* Step 5

Saute udad daal, chana dal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida powder, red chilli, powder, pounded garlic, curry leaves and mix well

* Step 6

Now add the cooked dal palak and mix well

Serve with jeera rice,steam rice and paratha
