Baked potato wedges with cumin and garlic tempering
These baked potato wedges can be an easy finger food/ snacks..
It can be served in parties too...
Serve hot with tomato sauce or green chutney or flavoured mayo...

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Start by washing and peeling the potatoes. Next cut them into wedges. Put these wedges in cold water for 30 minutes. Putting in cold water makes the potato wedges crispy.
* Step 2
After 30 minutes put potatoes in water, add salt and turmeric. Microwave it for 5 minutes. This will fasten the baking as it will almost get cooked.
* Step 3
As it's microwaved, strain the extra water. Now with a napkin or paper towel soak any extra moisture.
* Step 4
Now in the mixing bowl, add 2 tsp melted butter and mix. Next add cornflour and toss to coat the potatoes. This will add to the crispiness.
* Step 5
Preheat oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes. Now take a baking tray. Grease it with a tsp of butter. Now arrange all the potato wedges. Place for baking for 10 minutes with both rods on.
* Step 6
Since it's almost cooked within 10 minutes it will be totally cooked. Now for colouration, put the top rod on and bake for another 5 minutes. After 2-3 minutes, with tongs flip sides and continue baking. As its done, switch the oven off and let it be in the oven.
* Step 7
Next place a pan, add butter and oil into it. As it heats up, keep the flame slow. splutter cumin seeds. Add finely chopped garlic, salt as required. Saute till garlic turns brownish. Next add red chili powder and sugar. Mix. Switch the flame off.
* Step 8
Now add the crispy baked potato wedges. Mix. Add coriander leaves and mix.
* Step 9
Finish off by sprinkling mixed herbs and black pepper powder. Mix well.
* Step 10
It's ready... serve hot...
