Cooking instructions
* Step 1
In a blender jar put chana dal, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, green chillies, ginger and amchur powder.
Grind using minimum water. Make the paste coarse.
* Step 2
Transfer into a mixing bowl.
Put roasted instant oats, chopped onion, curry leaves, cumin seeds and roasted cumin and dry red chilies powder. You can add finely chopped coriander leaves too. Mix well. Check the seasonings. Adjust as needed. Batter must not be runny.
* Step 3
Heat oil for deep frying. Meanwhile make small patties type shape from the batter and arrange on a plate. Fry these at medium heat until they are nicely cooked then you can increase the flame heat for colouration and crispiness.
* Step 4
As it done from both sides, strain. Drain the extra oil.
Oats chana dal vadas are ready...
* Step 5
Serve hot with chutney/ sauce.
