Button mushroom masala (dry)

Ingredient

2-4 persons

40 ml

oil

1/2 inch

ginger

5-6 cloves

garlic

as per taste

Salt

1/4th tsp

turmeric powder

1/4th tsp

garam masala

as required

Water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take a pan, heat it with oil, add chopped onion and saute till translucent.

Add ginger-garlic paste and cook till it loses its rawness.

Add chopped tomato. Add salt, turmeric powder, and mix.

Cover and cook till tomato becomes mushy. Mash and check.

Next add cleaned mushrooms. Only separate the button and stalk. Put and mix well. Cover and cook till mushroom becomes soft.

As mushroom is softened. Add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and curry powder. Add little water and mix all well.

Now cover and cook again so that all the ingredients combine well.

Mix intermittently. Add water whenever required. Cook in open till you get a dry consistency. Button mushroom masala (dry) is ready to serve.
