Apple Sauce Two Ways
Here's two ways I make apple sauce, one is more traditional the other flavoured. Both are great with a roast joint of pork, or a chop, but the traditional is also fabulous served on porridge or can be used in bakes.

For traditional apple sauce:
Heat a saucepan up over a medium heat. Add the sugar. Once melted add in the chopped apples, add a small dash of water.
* Step 2
Once the apples begin to soften up add in the butter, stir through until melted. Season with a tiny bit of salt. Simmer with a lid on, removing to stir occasionally for around 8-10 minutes until 80% of the apples have completely broken down and a few softened lumps remain. Remove from the heat and leave to cool. Spoon into a sterilised jar. Store in the fridge.
