Fry the basmati rice and yellow moong dal separately, on low flame.

Mix both afterwards and allow to cool down. Wash them twice to clean dirt.

Place in a pressure cooker and add 3 cups of water and 1/2 cup milk, 2 Tbsp ghee, 1 bay leaf, 2 cloves with a pinch of salt. Pressure cook for 2-3 whistles. Allow to cool down, naturally.

In the meantime, prepare fresh cardamom powder. I added 1/2 cup of Date palm jaggery as it's very sweet. Add a cup of water. Mix well.

Add cardamom powder and half of ghee roasted cashew nuts and raisins. Mix well. Garnish with rest cashew and raisins and serve.
