Panchrangi Dal Masala

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Soak the dals after cleaning and and washing for 30 minutes.
* Step 2
Take soaked dals and water and turmeric powder, in a pressure cooker and cook for two whistles. Set aside to release pressure naturally.
* Step 3
Heat oil in a kadhai. Splutter ponch phutan, add hing and saute for 30 seconds. Add chopped onion, ginger, garlic and green chillies. Saute till rawness of masala gone.
* Step 4
Add chopped tomatoes, coriander powder,cumin powder red chilli powder and salt. Cook till tomatoes are mushy and oil is separated form masala.
* Step 5
Mix garam masala and 1 Tbsp ghee and saute for another 30 seconds. Mix the cooked masala with dal in cooker. Mix well and allowed to boil. Adjust the water and seasoning.
* Step 6
The Panchrangi dal masala is ready to serve with roti/puri/parathas/steamed rice.
