Easy Fish and Chips

What are the Fish and Chips? Fish and chips is a traditional British dish conforming to deep-fried battered fish, generally, cod or haddock served with chips( thickly sliced fried potatoes). The dish is generally served with a swab and malt ginger, and occasionally also with tartar sauce or curry sauce. Fish and chips are a popular fast food, particularly in the United Kingdom, and are also generally set up in other countries with British influence.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat the oil in a deep-fryer or large pot to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

* Step 2

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, and baking powder. Gradually stir in the water until the batter is smooth.

* Step 3

Dip the fish fillets into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off.

* Step 4

Fry the fish in the hot oil for 3 to 5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

* Step 5

Remove the fish from the oil and drain on a Tissue paper

* Step 6

Fry the potatoes in the hot oil for 3 to 5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

* Step 7

Remove the potatoes from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

* Step 8

Serve the fish and chips with tartar sauce or malt vinegar.

* Step 9
