Gur ka Idli (Pitha)
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
To prepare the batter soak 2 cups of Rice and 1 cup of Urad dal in lukewarm water for 2 hours. Grind with salt you like and half tsp sugar and 2 tsp of sour curd. Ferment by keeping the batter covered under sunlight in winter.
* Step 2
If you want to make instant Pithas then you can use Eno (according to the need of batter and cook immediately to get soft Idli.)
* Step 3
Mix rest of the ingredients with the fermented batter.
* Step 4
Grease the holes of Idli maker and pour the mixer batter. Cover with lid and steam for 7 to 9 minutes. Check with a toothprick to know if it is done.
* Step 5
Switch off the flame and let it cool down for 5 minutes.
* Step 6
Yummy yummy sweet idlis are ready to serve with Kheer or Rabri or can be eaten as such.
