This is a very traditional dessert from Palestine, Nablus . ❤👍

Ingredient

2 1/2 cup

water

Pinch

salt

1/2 cup

sugar

1/2 cup

semolina

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mix flour, salt and water and knead for 10-15 minutes

* Step 2

Divide it to 8 equal portions, place it in a ball brushed with some oil, cover it and leave it to rest from 5 hours to overnight

* Step 3

As for the filling: On medium high heat, bring all ingredients into a boil till the mixture thickens. Pour mixture into a tray and wait till it’s cool and firm, divide it to 8 equal portions

* Step 4

Now on an oily surface take one of the dough balls and stretch it till almost translucent, take a portion of our filling and place it in the middle of the dough, now start folding the four sides of the dough inwards, press gently on it and complete all other dough balls the same way. Deep fry all 8 squares of tamrieh till its beautifully golden, sprinkle some icing sugar and enjoy it hot.
