Chocolate and vanilla cake

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Preheat the oven to 170°C
* Step 2
Grease a cake tin with Spray and Cook.
* Step 3
Vanilla cake: Beat the egg until creamy. Add the sugar and beat.
* Step 4
Add the vanilla essence and oil and beat.
* Step 5
Add the buttermilk and beat.
* Step 6
Sift the cake flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to the wet ingredients and beat slowly until combine.
* Step 7
Chocolate cake: Sift the cake flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder and white sugar.
* Step 8
Add the oil, hot coffee and and milk and beat.
* Step 9
Add the egg and vanilla essence and beat.
* Step 10
Layer the vanilla and chocolate batters in the greased cake tin. It does not have to be perfect.
* Step 11
Bake the cake for 20-25 minutes
* Step 12
Let it cool before removing it from the cake tin.
* Step 13
Ganach: break the chocolate into blocks (white and milk separately). Microwave the chocolate with milk for a few seconds or until just melted. Mix until smooth. Can adjust consistency with milk.
* Step 14
Pour the ganach over the cooled cake. Garnish with nuts.
