Simple Chhola masala

Chickpeas or Chhole are a nutrient-dense food that is low in fat and calories and high in protein, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals. They are a great addition to a healthy and balanced diet.They are a good source of plant-based protein, with about 15 grams of protein per cup of cooked chickpeas.It is high in fiber, with about 12.5 grams of fiber per cup of cooked chickpeas .

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Take a kadhai or wok add oil. When oil heat up add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Saute 30 second, add green chillies and chopped ginger. Saute few seconds and add onion. Cook until onion turn golden brown.
* Step 2
Add ginger garlic paste saute 1 minute.add tomatoes and salt cooked for 2 minutes over medium heat then add all coriander powder, turmeric powder and Chilli powder. Mix and add 2 tbsp water.cover and cook for 3-4 minutes till the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
* Step 3
Now the spices cooked well and oil gas separated add chhola masala mix and cook for 2 minutes. Add boiled chickpeas.mix and add 1 cup water.cover and cook on medium flame for 4-5 minutes.
* Step 4
Add fenugreek leaves and garam masala powder. Mix and cook for 2-3 minute.add chopped coriander leaves and turn off the flame.
Serve this chhola with bhatura or puri
