Lobia Masala

#ga24 #blackeyedpeas These beans are rich in protein and have a nice nutty flavor too that melds so well in a tangy onion-tomato-spices base of this curry. This is simple yet flavourful dish.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soaked the lobia beans for 1 hour in water. Take a pressure cooker add oil heat up then add whole spices saute few seconds add chopped onion and saute till they turn light golden.

* Step 2

Add ginger garlic paste and green chillies saute one minute. Add chopped tomatoes then add salt,turmeric powder, coriander powder and Chilli powder. Mix and cook for a minute.add little water and cook for 2-3 minutes till the tomatoes turn soft.

* Step 3

Now the tomatoes cook and oil has separated add the soaked lobia beans. Mix and cook for 2 minutes on high flame.

* Step 4

Add 1 cup of water cover and cooked for 3-4 whistle on medium flame. Release the pressure check the lobia has cooked completely. Add garam masala powder and coriander leaves mix add 1/4 cup water and bring it a boil.

* Step 5

Now it's ready to serve.
