No-oil recipe
Appam, a fermented rice pancake, is a speciality of the South Indian coastal States.it is prepared by fermented rice batter but today I make it by using rava and without oil. It turns Fluffy in the center, and crisp on the edges.unlike the traditional dosa appam recipe, this recipe does not require soaking, fermentation and the batter can be made in less than 15 minutes.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Take rava and curd in grinding jar.add salt and sugar.add water then blend them together to make a fine smooth batter.
* Step 2
Transfer this batter in a mixing bowl.now check the consistency of batter it should be in a thick running consistency.if it looks thick add little water.now add eno in this batter and immediately mix it.
* Step 3
Once the batter turns frothy, immediately pour over the hot tawa.keep the flame on medium and cook until the top of appam is cooked completely.when the bottom side looks golden and top side turns dry remove from tawa.
* Step 4
Prepare all appam and serve with chutney.
