Ajwain

1 tsp

suji

1 tbsp

oil

1 cup

peas

to taste

Salt

to taste

Garam masala

1 tsp

Jeera

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Knead a soft dough using these ingredients with water. Keep it aside for some while. You can also use wheat flour for the dough..

* Step 2

Grind green peas together with ginger and green chillies.

* Step 3

Heat oil in a pan. Crackle jeera and rai in oil. Add hing. Then add the peas paste. Add salt and turmeric powder. And cook the stuffing with a lid. Keep stirring occasionally. It will take around 10 minutes to cook on a low flame. Add little garam masala and let the stuffing cool.

* Step 4

Now, roll the dough into puris. Place the stuffing in the centre of them.

And give shape to your karanjis.. Deep fry them in oil at medium flame till golden brown

Serve hot with mint chutney and date tamarind chutney
