Kulcha is a leavened Indian flatbread popular in Amritsar, Punjab! It is made with flour, yogurt, and baked in a tandoor. But nowadays it was easily made on a tawa.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Take a large bowl and soft the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder in it. Then add curd, sugar, oil, and milk and mix it well.
* Step 2
Now add warm water as required and make a soft dough of it. Now cover it with damp clothes or clinig wrap and keep it aside for 2 hours.
* Step 3
After 2 hours knead it again and divide it into 6 equal parts. Then give it a round shape. Now roll it out into a circle. Then apply some coriander leaves and kalonji seeds over it. Now again roll it lightly.
* Step 4
Now flip it and apply water to the plain side of Kulcha. Now place it on heated tawa. Remember one thing which side we apply coriander leaves that stay on the top.
* Step 5
Now cook it on medium flame. When the bubbles appear turn the entire tawa upside down and place it directly over the flame and cook until brown spots appear on the surface.
* Step 6
When you noticed that the brown spots start to appear, take them away from the flame. Now remove the Kulcha from the tawa, apply some butter over it.
* Step 7
Your Kulcha is ready to eat. Serve it with Chola. Enjoy!
