Simple ginger cake with strawberry icing

Ingredient

3/4 cup

sugar

1 cup

bluband

2-3 tbsp

baking powder

1 pinch

salt

1/2-1 cup

milk

1/2 kg

icing sugar

1/4 cup

margarine

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cream the margarine and the sugar

* Step 2

Break in the eggs one by one as you whisk

* Step 3

In a separate bowl, drive all the other dry ingredients

* Step 4

Add in the seived ingredients spoon by spoon as you use a wooden spatula to mix in one direction.

* Step 5

Add in the milk and the ginger paste and whisk to a smooth batter.

* Step 6

Bake in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 40 - 50 minutes

* Step 7

Check the cake if well done by using a toothpick to prick to the middle.

* Step 8

Allow to cool before leveling it.

* Step 9

Whisk some icing sugar and some margarine to a nice smooth paste. Add in a drop of strawberry red and mix. This will make it pinkish.

* Step 10

Smear over the cake just to cover the nakedness.

* Step 11

Serve.
