2 & 1/4 cups

coconut grated

1& 1/2 cups

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take a pan.Add ghee and coconut and roast it properly.

* Step 2

Add sugar to the same pan.

* Step 3

Add coconut & sugar to the same pan. and cook together on a medium flame.

* Step 4

Mixture turns gooey and bubbly. Add cardamom powder. Continue to cook until the mixture comes together and turns thick. It also begins to leave the sides of the pan.

* Step 5

Now divide the mixture into two pan..In one pan, add orange colour and mix well.There will be two colour mixture now- orange and white. You can also add chopped dates in the white mixture.

* Step 6

Pour it immediately to two different greased plate, foil or butter paper. Level it well and make a square with the spatula.

* Step 7

Allow to cool down for about 15 mins. Cut them to desired sizes while it is still warm.

* Step 8

Garnish with pumpkin seeds.

Cool and store coconut barfi in a air tight jar.
