Ingredient

2 tbsp

oil or ghee

to taste

Salt

As required

For deep frying

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take flour in a mixing bowl, add carom seeds, salt, ghee mix well

* Step 2

Add water little by little and make a stiff dough

* Step 3

Cover and keep aside for 30mins

* Step 4

Now divide dough in equal portions and roll each portion into a smooth ball

* Step 5

Roll each ball into a small disc

* Step 6

Take a cookie cutter and cut into circles,prick this with toothpick

Now make 8 cut impressions

For petal shape gather & twist the portion at the edge

Make all the mathris like this, apply pepper in centre

* Step 10

Heat oil in a pan, when oil becomes hot lower the flame to medium now gently slide in mathris & fry both sides on medium till crispy

* Step 11

Once done, drain on kitchen towel

* Step 12

When it becomes cool store in air tight container
