Ingredient

3/4 cup

sugar

strands

Few saffron

3 tbsp

ghee

1 1/2 cup

Warm water

Pinch

salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a saucepan, add water and bring to the boil, add rice,salt & cook for 15mins on med heat or until almost done.

* Step 2

Drain and keep aside

* Step 3

In a bowl add saffron along with a little warm water. Keep it aside to infuse for 5 -7 mins

* Step 4

In a non stick pan, heat ghee over medium heat add cashews, raisins cloves and cardmom. Saute for 2-3 min and add the drained rice along with the sugar

* Step 5

Cook until the sugar has dissolved for min,while stirring occasionally,add food colour

* Step 6

After 2 mins add saffron to rice and mix gently. Cook for 3-4 mins until most of the liquid has evaporated

* Step 7

Once cooked transfer the rice to a serving bowl, garnish with dry fruits
