Khubani Ka Meetha or qubani ka meetha is an authentic hyderabadi delicacy made with dried apricots and is a traditional dessert often served during occasions like Eid ,weddings and gatherings .
Khubani or Qubani is a Urdu term for Apricots. Apricots are soaked overnight to make this scrumptious dessert and served with icecream and custard.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash and soak the apricots overnight.
* Step 2
Remove the seeds from the soaked apricots.
* Step 3
Break open the seed shell and we find Badam kernels inside it.
* Step 4
Set apricots kernels aside in a bowl and discard the shells of the seed.
* Step 5
Cut the soaked apricots or mash them with your hands.
* Step 6
In a work, add the soaked apricots and the soaked water.
* Step 7
The water is beautiful golden colour.
* Step 8
Cook the apricots on slow flame till soft and mushy.
* Step 9
Add sugar and cook till it dissolves fully.
* Step 10
Keep stirring in between.
* Step 11
Switch off the flame and serve the dessert in a bowl,hot or cold.
* Step 12
The consistency is neither too dry nor too liquid.
* Step 13
Serve it with icecream or eat like this only, the choice is yours.
* Step 14
Garnish it with apricots kernels.
