Goan style moonga ganthi curry

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

First wash moong dal sprout. Take a big vessel, add moong dal sprout and 1 cup water. Now add salt according to your taste. Cover it and cook for about 7-8 minutes.

Now for curry masala - Take a pan add coriander seeds, dry red chilli, cloves, black peppercorns and roast it about for 2 minutes. Let it put aside.

Now in a pan, add shredded coconut, dry roast it about for 2-3 minutes.

Now in a grinder roasted coconut, dry red chilli, coriander seeds, cloves, black peppercorns, tamarind and turmeric powder and grind it well with little water and make fine paste. Curry masala is ready.

Add this curry masala to the boiled sprout and cook it for 2-3 minutes. Add jaggery to this mix well.

Now for tempering - Take a pan add 2 tsp oil, when oil is getting hot add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Pour this tempering on cooked moong dal sprout. Goan style moong gathi curry is ready. Serve hot with Roti.
