Cheats Mince Pies
I know it’s a bit late!!! But we are still in the festive season so here is the recipe for those not sick of them yet!
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Grate the apple and zest the orange. Mix it into the pre-made mincemeat.
* Step 2
Roll out the pastry and use a cutter (or glass) to cut circles. Grease the bun dish.
* Step 3
Press the pastry circles into the bun dishes. Spoon the mincemeat into the pastry.
* Step 4
To top the mince pies be creative! You could cook little stars, circles or strips to make latticework.
* Step 5
Beat the egg and brush it on top of the pies. Place in the oven at gas mark 6 and cook for about 20-25 mins until golden brown.
