Simple Scones

Have made Scones twice in previous years, but have forgotten how too make Scones . I looked up the Word Scones on the Internet and I came across a American Style of making Scones . The Scones are triangular in shape and their are sugar within the Scone dough and a sprinkling of sugar on top - once the raw Scone has been formed and then you cut it into 8 triangles before putting them individually onto a Baking Tray with Baking Parchment Paper underneath

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a large mixing bowl add the flour in first, then the larger amount of sugar, next the salt - and then the baking powder and baking soda

* Step 2

On the larger section of the Cheese Grater - grate the 125 or 128g of frozen butter and then add it too your dry ingredients and then use your Fingers too work the flour mix into the butter too form fine breadcrumbs and then add the Raisins or Currants

* Step 3

In a separate mixing bowl crack a hen egg into it and then beat the egg with a Dinner Fork or hand whisk and then add the sour cream (or Single Cream with a bit of Lemon juice or Yoghurt) too the beaten egg and then whisk it all together and then pour the wet mix over the dry mix. Use fork too work into flour

* Step 4

Add some Plain Flour too the Kitchen side and then form the Scone dough into a 8 inch circle it being a 3/4 inch thick and then sprinkle the 1 (One) teaspoon of white sugar over the top and then cut with a sharp Kitchen knife into 8 triangles - all the same size and then place on the baking tray and then bake in the middle part of the oven at Gas Mark 6 for at least 15 minutes

* Step 5

Eat them warm straight from the oven, or allow too cool and then store them in a Air tight container at room temperature for 2 days, or store in the Air tight container within the Fridge for 1 (One) week. Alternatively place on a cold Baking Tray and then freeze them overnight and then place them all into the same Freezer Bag and keep them frozen for 3 months before using them up
