Hungarian Dumpings (Nokedli)
Nokedli are delicious Hungarian dumplings that also work as fresh homemade pasta.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Place large pot filled with salted water and bring to boil.
* Step 2
Combine eggs, salt, and milk, beating well with whisk.
* Step 3
Add flour, a little at a time.
* Step 4
Add only enough flour to make a soft, sticky dough. Let mixture rest for about 10 mins. Beat mixture again.
* Step 5
Using a Spaetzle maker or Spaetzle press, squeeze the dough into the boiling water. Use about 1/3 of the dough for each batch. When the dumplings float to the surface, they are done.
* Step 6
Remove them with a slotted spoon and place in a colander. Serve with beef stew.
