Dark chocolate cupcakes 🧁

Goldenapron23#week18, a delicious, tasty and easy chocolate flavour moist dark chocolate cupcake topped with a silky chocolate frosting and topped with chocolate sprinkles, grated dark chocolate or pieces for garnish. Course: dessert, Cuisine: American, nutrition value: calcium, manganese, copper, iron, vitamins- A,B,E and k. Dark chocolate has plenty of essential nutrients too.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180Β°c, line a 12 hole cupcake tin with paper lines, set aside. In a mixing bowl πŸ₯£, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, instant coffee powder,baking powder, baking soda and salt πŸ§‚ keep aside.

* Step 2

In a large bowl πŸ₯£, add butter 🧈 and sugar mix together until light and fluffy (don't over mix), add eggs πŸ₯š one at a time, beating well after each addition, stir in vanilla & mint extract, add grated dark chocolate 🍫 and mix gently, add milk πŸ₯› mix gently with spoon, add flour mixture and mix together until combined.

* Step 3

Divide the batter evenly among the 12 muffins tin or paper cupcake liner filling each liner over halfway (don't over flow the liner) bake for 15 mins or until a knife πŸ”ͺ inserted in the middle comes out clean, remove from the oven and keep for 5 mins in muffin tin, then transfer them to wire rack to cool completely.

* Step 4

For chocolate frosting: take a mixing bowl πŸ₯£ and add butter 🧈, powdered sugar, salt mix together until light and fluffy, add vanilla extract mix, add melted dark chocolate and mix well, quick add cocoa powder and mix well, take cooled cupcake one by one and spread chocolate frosting, garnish with grated dark chocolate 🍫 and tutti frutti, candied fruit, chocolate sprinkles serve.
