Punjabi rose pulao 🌹🍚

#GoldenApron23#week10, a Punjabi rose pulao is a special rice recipe, it is an aromatic pulao made in festival season, as soon our festival seasons are going to begin, so try and make this vegetable rice. Happy cooking! 🌺πŸͺ·πŸŒΉ

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a frying pan add ghee, and fry whole/ sliced almonds till golden, keep aside. Mix rose water with kewra water and keep aside, soak rice for 20 mins, set aside. Heat oil and add whole spices ( cumin seeds, small cardamoms, star anise, bay leaf πŸ‚, cinnamon sticks, cloves cook for 1 min.

* Step 2

Add finely chopped onions πŸ§…saute till pinkish in colour, add ginger garlic paste πŸ§„, saute for 1 min, add green chillies paste mix well, add all the vegetables (peas πŸ«›, carrots πŸ₯•, potatoes πŸ₯”) and saute for 3 mins, add coriander cumin powder, cinnamon & cardamom powder, black pepper powder and mix well.

* Step 3

Add rice 🍚, salt πŸ§‚and mix well, add dry rose petals 🌹, mint leaves 🌱, water πŸ’¦, butter and mix well, let it boil, when water is near dried out, add rose &kewra water mixture, cover with aluminum foil, all sides and cook for 15 mins on low medium heat, serve hot.

* Step 4

Garnish with fried almonds, dry rose petals 🌹.
