#GoldenApron23#week3, Tawa pulao is a popular street food found in Mumbai ( India), it is made with leftover rice, vegetables,ground spices and herbs. Tawa pulao is easy, quick and delicious, for vegetarian meal, the tawa pulao as it's name suggests is made on tawa( a flat concave shape pan used in indian cooking for making indian flatbread or for roasting and as well for shallow frying) , in street sides vendors they use a huge tawa to make this pulao but in our homes we can make in a frying pan or in a wok. Course: main course, Cuisine: indian, Diet: vegetarian.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat butter & oil in a wok, add cumin seeds when start to crackle, add finely chopped onions πŸ§…, cook till golden, add ginger garlic paste πŸ§„ cook for 1 min, add finely chopped tomato πŸ…, cook till it's soft.

* Step 2

Add salt πŸ§‚, pav bhaji masala, kashmiri chillies powder 🌢️/ red chillies powder 🌢️, coriander cumin powder, finely chopped coriander leaves 🌿 and mix well, add 2- 3 tbsp water πŸ’¦ mix well, cook till oil comes out, add potatoes πŸ₯” whole/ diced, peas πŸ«› cook for 3 mins on medium flame, add french beans, carrot πŸ₯• diced, shredded cabbage mix well, cover and cook for 5 mins, if you need more water for vegetables, just sprinkle some water πŸ’¦ on the vegetables.

* Step 3

Finally check potatoes πŸ₯” if there are tender, add chopped green capsicum πŸ«‘ mix well and cook for 3 mins, add leftover rice and mix gently, cook for 2 mins, serve hot with yogurt raita', onion salad, roasted papad, lemon/ mango pickle if you like. Garnish with finely chopped fennel leaves 🌿. On top of pulao squeeze lemon juice πŸ‹ and enjoy.
