Tuna Yakisoba

When my family was financially struggling, a can of Tuna saved my life many times as it allowed me to make a nutritious meal for my children. In Melbourne where I live, a small can of Tuna costs less than A$1. I always stock some in my pantry. I have shared many Canned Tuna recipes on this website. Here is another one to share. If you can’t afford the stir-fry noodles, use Spaghetti. Spaghetti are cheap, and they are very versatile. By the way, do you know ‘Bi-Carb Soda transforms Spaghetti into Chinese style noodles’?

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.

* Step 2

I used Cabbage and Spring Onion today, but you can use any Vegetables in hand. Brown Onion, Carrot and Capsicum are popular for stir-fried noodles. Cut all vegetables into thin strips and slices in the size that is easy to eat.

* Step 3

Heat Oil in a large frying pan or wok, cook Garlic, Cabbage and Yakisoba Noodles. Season lightly with Salt and White Pepper. Alter the amount of Salt depending on the saltiness of Tuna.

* Step 4

Add Spring Onion and drained Tuna, and stir until Spring Onion is soft. It won’t take long. Add the Sauce and stir to combine.
