Dorayaki with Peanut Butter
One of the most famous Japanese sweets is ‘Dorayaki’, thanks to the Manga and adapted TV Anime series ‘Doraemon’. ‘Dorayaki’ is two small pancake-like sponge wrapped a filling of sweet Azuki (red bean) paste. My children love it but my husband doesn’t eat it, because he doesn’t like sweet Azuki paste. So I tried to make ‘Dorayaki’ more enjoyable for the people like my husband, by adding Peanut Butter to it.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Make thin 10cm pancakes with least possible Oil. Non stick pan is recommended as you need no Oil.
* Step 2
*Note: This pancake batter is specially for ‘Dorayaki’. Because of the larger amount of sugar, it would be easy to burn quickly. Please cook on low heat and try to make one side brown. The other side doesn’t require to be browned.
* Step 3
Sandwich 1 tablespoons of Tsubu-an and 1 tablespoons of Crunchy Peanut Butter with two pancakes.
