Dry Chana Dal

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soak the dal for 2 hrs.

* Step 2

Heat oil in a pan.

* Step 3

Put dry red chillies and cumin seeds.

* Step 4

Put chopped onion and cook till brown.

* Step 5

Add chopped ginger and garlic.

* Step 6

Add chopped tomatoes.

* Step 7

Cook till tomato softens.

* Step 8

Add salt and all the masala.

* Step 9

Strain the dal and cook with masala.

* Step 10

Now put 2 cups water.

* Step 11

After 1 boil cover and simmer it.

* Step 12

When done garnish with coriander leaves.
