TINOTUAN / BUBUR MANADO (Manado Vegetable Porridge)

Tinotuan, also known as bubur manado or Manadonese porridge is a specialty of the Manado cuisine and a popular breakfast food in the city of Manado and the surrounding province of North Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Add water level to a level 3 - 5 cm above the rice level. Boil until almost cooked.

* Step 2

Add pumpkin, sweet potato and corn. When they are cooked, add vegetables and salt.

* Step 3

Cook until the cereal thickens. Serve with sambal and fried salted fish.
