Braised Pork Rice - 卤肉饭
Learned from multiple YouTube videos and create my own. The longer you let it to simmer, the better it taste 😋
Ingredient
Food ration :

1-3hrs
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Slice and Dice the pork belly (depends on your liking)
* Step 2
Slice garlic into thinner slices
* Step 5
Add Garlic and Ginger until fragrance
* Step 6
Add Diced pork belly and stir until partially cooked
* Step 7
Add Sliced Shitake Mushrooms and stir
* Step 9
Add Star Anise and Cinnamon sticks and shallots
* Step 10
Add Shaoxing Wine, Light Soy Sauce, Dark Sauce, Brown/normal sugar and stir
* Step 11
Add 400ml water and hard boiled egg
* Step 12
Cover and braise for 1hr - 1.5hrs. Do check in every 10-15mins to ensure water doesn't dry up. Add if necessary and give it a good mix again.
* Step 13
Ready to serve after 1.5hrs. You can leave it longer for better flavour. Serve with rice :)
