Best Breakfast Burritos
Use sausage instead of bacon if you prefer.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Fry bacon in a skillet over medium-low heat until crispy. Set aside and drain on paper towels. Do not discard the grease.
* Step 2
In the same skillet, increase heat to medium and add onion. Cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes. Meanwhile, start cooking the hash brown patties according to package directions. I recommend using an air fryer if you have one.
* Step 3
Crack eggs into a small bowl and add salt and pepper to taste, then add salsa. Beat well and add to skillet. Scramble to your desired texture (I like a soft scramble). Reduce heat to medium-low if necessary.
* Step 4
Once hash brown patties are golden brown and crispy, remove and set aside. Now it's time to assemble the burritos.
* Step 5
Warm tortillas in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds. Meanwhile, crumble or chop the bacon.
* Step 6
On one tortilla, layer two slices American cheese, half of scrambled egg mixture, half of crumbled bacon, and one hash brown patty. Add hot sauce to taste if desired. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Roll and enjoy.
