Instant pot southern chicken and rice

Ingredient

Food ration :

3 servings
1 table spoon

olive oil

2 cloves

garlic minced

1 cup

rice

1 1/2 cups

chicken broth

1 teaspoon

thyme

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Set your Instant Pot to sauté mode and heat the olive oil. Add the diced onion, bell pepper, celery, and minced garlic, and cook until softened

* Step 2

Add the chicken chunks to the Instant Pot and cook until browned on all sides.

* Step 3

Add the rice, chicken broth, dried thyme, salt, and pepper to the Instant Pot. Stir well to combine.

* Step 4

Close the Instant Pot lid and set it to manual high pressure for 10 minutes.

* Step 5

Once the cooking time is complete, allow for a natural pressure release for 5 minutes, then manually release any remaining pressure.

* Step 6

Carefully open the Instant Pot lid and fluff the chicken and rice with a fork.

* Step 7

Serve the Instant Pot Chicken and Rice hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley
