Cooking instructions
* Step 1
In a wok, NO oil, add pepper corn, roast it for about 3 mins.
* Step 2
Grind the peppercorn in mortar pestle. set aside.
* Step 3
Mix bean paste and soya sauce to make sauce mix well. Set aside.
* Step 4
In a wok, add 1/2 cup of oil, when it's hot enough. add half shallots in. Don't crowd the wok.
* Step 5
Make sure the heat is medium 6, don't burn the shallots. When it's about to turn brown, remove them from the wok. Add the 2nd batch shallots in.
* Step 6
When the 2nd batch is done. Turn the heat to 2.
* Step 7
Remove half of the oil from the wok and add the 1st batch of shallots back into the wok.
* Step 8
Add the sauce, sugar, salt, chili flakes, pepper corn, 5 spices into the wok and mix well with the shallots and oil.
