Raclette

This is a traditional Swiss dish.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Boil the water, salt, and unpeeled potatoes in a pot for 20 minutes until they can be easily pierced with a skewer. Keep them warm.

* Step 2

Bring the raclette cheese out of the refrigerator and cut to suit the size of your oven try.

Put into a tray for raclette cheese (top as you like with minced garlic or onions) and melt the cheese in an oven. Sprinkle the spices on the cheese and enjoy with the potatoes.

To prevent heartburn, serve with pickles or onions simmered in Balsamic vinegar.

If you don't have raclette cheese, melt your favorite cheese.

This is my oven for making raclette. There's a grill on top.

To keep the potatoes from going cold, I use this warmer. You can also keep them in a warmed oven.

This is a traditional way of preparing raclette. The cheese is cut into half and then melted in a special oven. Melted cheese on top, boiled potatoes on the bottom.
