Orange and Banana Smoothie
Sharing this recipe against my sister’s opinion that you cannot make an orange and banana flavored smoothie without needing to use orange juice instead of the fruit. Her disgust was particularly with the orange pith or white membrane, she is very fussy about textures. So this recipe is for equally fussy people - I have found you a way to work around oranges and smoothies 😂. Quite the hassle but nonetheless worth it. I promise 🤞

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
SEGMENTING THE ORANGE: cut off both ends of the orange, deep enough to expose the juicy flesh of the fruit
* Step 2
Run a sharp knife from top to bottom to cut off the orange skin as well as the outer white membrane (it’s good to cut off most of the membrane so that your smoothie doesn’t feel too fibrous or stringy). Be careful not to lose most of the orange HAHA
* Step 3
Over a bowl or blender (to catch the juice), cut out the individual segments of the orange. Squeeze out any juice left in the remaining fibers
* Step 4
Transfer orange segments and juice into a blender together with chopped bananas and water. Blend on high speed until smooth. Check consistency and add more water if too thick
* Step 5
Pour into a glass and consume immediately
