Ingredient

Food ration :

2 cups
1/4 cup

water

1 1/2 cups

sugar

1/2 cup

bourbon

1 teaspoon

salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mix the sugar and water together. Cook over medium heat until brown, swirling occasionally. Cook for ~10 minutes. Turn off heat and remove from heat.

* Step 2

Carefully add the bourbon; it will splatter and may catch fire. If it catches fire, turn off the heat and cover with a lid. Mix well and continue cooking over low heat at first, raising to medium and swirl until semi-dark brown. Add the salt and cool to room temperature. Store at room temperature; refrigeration not needed.
